Costing Shipments.
CIS prompts for more than 50 input items to fully describe each
shipment. Each characteristic, with the exception of weight,
origin and destination, has valid defaults from either TCG's extensive
industry database or from your own records. This makes guessing
unnecessary when making cost analysis.
Input item include the freight characterists:
- Weight
- Pieces
- Density
- Packaging Type
- Revenue
- Loss and Damage Susceptibility
- Probill Number (for subsequent report)
Characteristics of the move:
- Origin
- Destination
- Trailer Spot Code
- Type of dock handling
- Assembly and distribution code
And adjustments to the move when additional information is available:
- Load
plan override
- Average load/cube override
- Stop time override at pickup or delivery
- Drive time override at pickup or delivery
- Stop time adjustment
- Drive time adjustment
- Dock time adjustment
Coding is also available for the traditionally difficult types of freight to
cost:
- Mixed
shipments
- Linehaul stopoffs
- Unstackable Pallets
- Changes in packaging during transport
- Interline
- International
