TL/CIS allows for the interactive costing of specific loads and trips via on-screen input templates which the user completes to fully describe the load and move. The input template begins with the specific shipment/load itself, allowing the user to specify origin, destination and specific handling information. Then, the user can either toggle to a movement screen, to fully describe the entire trip utilized to move the shipment, or can default to the database to obtain average experience including headhaul/backhaul implications.
For additional flexibility, you can amend any line on the input Log to enter more specific handling information, as well as more specific linehaul information, including:
Using the input Log screen, you can describe the specifics of a proposed or past move. You can include prior and subsequent deadhead, backhaul (specific or most likely), stop-offs and virtually any other service required.
With each prospective load, miles are looked up automatically as points are entered.
Cost results show a complete breakdown of both direct and overhead costs by activity.
You can also enter rate or revenue information and get a complete, round-trip analysis of break-even rates and rates required to meet specific profitability targets critical to effective decision making. Cost results can be interfaced with the creation of order records at dispatch for instant analysis of new order requests.
