Monthly Report Settings    (#58, Summer 2002)

The Traffic/CIS monthly reports, which are queued up to run as part of the database costing, contain settings which allow many of them to be tailored to best suit the carrier’s reporting requirements.  The settings for various monthly reports include:

-   Change the number of best, worst, or largest customers displayed

-   Limit the customer activity to payer, or shipper-prepaid/consignee-collect

-   Exclude or include bill-to customers

-   Create corresponding data import files for spreadsheet programs

-   Exclude customers from the individual customer reports which are included in the earnings by groups reports

·       Earnings by Tariff (ReportF)

-   Omit tariffs with shipment counts below a specified floor

-   Create corresponding data import files for spreadsheet programs

·       Earnings by Lane (Report7)

-   Change the number of best, worst or largest lanes displayed

-   Include a report for all lanes

·       Profitability by Sales Rep (ReportR)

-   Limit the reporting of customers for each sales rep to payer, or shipper-prepaid/consignee-collect

-   Round average class to nearest actual class

-   Calculate average discount on all freight or only freight with discount

-   Create separate reports by sales rep, with customer limits

·       New Customer Follow Up Report (Report9)

-   Identify new customers from a downloaded new customer file or from a comparison to a specified prior period lag, with customer limit.

To review or change the settings for a particular report, go to the Traffic/CIS Database Builder menu and select the option Set Up Month-End Reports.  This displays a listing of reports with options to add reports, delete reports and select the desired report to run.  Select a particular report with the cursor and press enter, as instructed, to run the report.  An introductory screen for the report will appear, with an instruction to press S, for settings, if the report has settings available.
