The Traffic/CIS Customer Profile allows users to add cost information and revenue adjustments, when not available in the shipment data, on a customer basis. As these profiles can get quite numerous, the Customer Profile software includes search options to single out profiles, based on the data in specific fields. These options are found on the menu bar item "Search." The search criteria will be based on the field where the cursor is established, and has the following options:
1. Profiles where data is equal to the amount in the field. For example, to queue up all customer profiles for the terminal CHI, enter CHI in the terminal field, and then click on that search item, which will now read "Terminal = CHI." All profiles having CHI in that field will be listed.
2. Profiles where data is not equal to the amount in the field.
For example, to queue up all customer profiles with a packaging code override, click on the packaging code field (leaving it blank), and then select the search option that now reads "Packaging Code <>
3. Profiles where data is greater than the amount in the field. For example, to queue up all customer profiles having sort and segregate time greater than 30 hours, click on the Sort and Seg Hours field, enter 30, and select the search option greater than (>) 30. All profiles having sort and segregate hours exceeding 30 will be listed.
4. Profiles where data is less than the amount in the field. For example, to queue up all customer profiles with a drive adjustment less than 1, click on the Drive Adjust field, enter 1, and then select the search option less than (<) 1. All profiles having drive adjustments less than 1 will be listed (note: the "less than" option excludes zero).
5. The "Profiles older than ..." option allows the entry of a date. The system will then display a list of all customer profiles older than the date entered.
The Search menu also includes options to return to, and to print, the list created with the options above. With the listing displayed on-screen, double click on any customer and that profile will be opened for review or editing.
These searches produce a standard CIS customer list file (CUSTOMER.LST), which can also be used as a Data Set in the Report Writer to see if there is any activity for the customers in the listing.
